About Harriet Haus

Tucked away in the picture-perfect alpine village of Harrietville, Harriet Haus is your cosy escape to nature, nestled at the base of the Victorian Alps. Just an hour’s scenic drive from the snowy peaks of Mt. Hotham and a breezy 20 minutes from the buzzing tourist hub of Bright, this charming getaway offers the perfect mix of adventure, serenity and everything in between—no matter the season.

This isn’t your average holiday home. Harriet Haus has a bit of a story to tell. Originally built in the 1930s on the Mornington Peninsula, this classic beauty once watched over the sea, with its owners sipping tea and waving to passing sailboats. In the early 1980s, she was lovingly relocated to Harrietville—where we think she’s truly found her happy place. Elevated views, a lush garden, and easy access to Joop’s Jetty, stunning walking trails, and world-class bike tracks.
She fits right in. And between us, we think you will too.
